About

Our Mission

The Berkshire Beat aims to support and promote local musicians, artists and businesses while trying to generate more tourism into the Berkshires. The magazine will feature local artwork, bands, interviews, pictures, reviews, as well as listings of local shows and businesses. To increase community involvement subscribers will be able to submit any artwork, music or literature to be considered for publication in The Berkshire Beat. In order to increase an already large fan base The Berkshire Beat will host local shows, events and various competitions.

Our Commitment

The Berkshire Beat is committed to increasing the recognition of the Berkshires modern art and culture. Helping to expand and bring notice to a currently growing movement of Alternative culture in the Berkshires.

Our goal is to encourage youth to get involved with the local culture. We are dedicated to providing an enviroment for young aspiring artist, muscians, and writers to come receive lessons and coaching to help develop their talents. We will also be donating up to 20% of our net profit every year to help advancement in the community as well as estblish various youth based projects to include a community arts center.

Distribution

The Berkshire Beat magazine distribution area will cover from Schenectady, NY to Keene, NH down to Poughkeepsie, NY to Hartford, CT utilizing restaurants, hotels, area businesses and newsstands as distribution points. We will also be hitting a wide range of college locations through out the distribution area such as Smith college, Amherst College, Williams College and Simon’s Rock college to name a few.  The Berkshire Beat will not charge the public for a copy of The Berkshire Beat, allowing a greater population access to read of the covered events in the bi-monthly magazine.
